Mott/Regent beats Heart River in overtime thriller

By COLE BENZ | Herald Editor |   It took an overtime period, but Mott/Regent defeated the Cougars from Heart River 67-60 to advance to the quarterfinals in the Region 7 Tournament.

The Mott/Regent Wildfire and New England Tigers both lost their respective semifinal match up, which sets them up to go head to head with a Region 7 tournament third-place finish on the line.
Hankinson downs Wildfire in opening football game

In what was called the “Bye Week Bowl” played at Shiloh, the Mott-Regent Wildfire lost their game to the Region 1 Hankinson Pirates, 36-24.  Hankinson finished in second place last year in Region 1 with a 6-2 record.
