Karagan Friedt picked up one win recently for the Mott-Regent Wildfire.
The senior was named as Region 7 Player of the Week after one match where she finished with three aces, six digs and 18 assists while also serving 93 percent.
In the regional stats released, Bowman County’s Jill Svihovec leads the area in assists with 682 and an average of 8.12 assists per set.
New England’s Shelley Kathrein had the second highest average (5.63) and third-highest total (400).
Friedt had the seventh-best total (128) and averaged two assists per set.
Abby Smyle of Bowman County has the most kills (214) and highest kills per set average (2.74). Myranda Reiss of Killder had the second-highest average (2.14). New England’s Sebella Sorenson (1.971) and Jersey Binstock (1.77) also made the list.
In blocks, Tenley Sage of Hazen led the region with an average per set of 1.03, barely ahead of Harys Beauchamp of Beulah (1.02). New England had four on the list for blocking, with Jersey Binstock (61 and .89), Hadley Binstock (47 and .66), Kathrein (37 and .521), and Angel Erickson (35 and .49).
Mott-Regent’s Kattie Honeyman also made the block listing with a total of 22 and an average per set of .41.
In attacks, Bowman County’s Smyle had the most attempts (611) while her teammate, Ellie Powell, had the highest average per set (.286). New England’s Jersey Binstock (474 and .129), Hadley Binstock (451 and .124) along with Sorenson (535 and .099) were also on the list.
Ricksen was one of only two Hettinger County residents to make the regional list for aces, averaging .70 aces per set and having a total of 50. Emily Dinius had 32 aces while finishing with a .47 average per set.
Killdeer’s Madi Wilhelm is the regional leader in digs with a total of 365 and averaging 5.21 per set.
But Mott-Regent had the next three with the highest averages led by Kiara Koepplin (292 and .456), Maryjane Mayer (220 and 4.02) and Jenessa Zentner ( 214 and 3.91).
New England’s Jersey Binstock and Erickson are tied with 273 digs each and both having identical 3.8450 average.
In serve attempts, New England’s Jersey Binstock has a 93.9 average per set, with a total of 230 serves.
