Wildfire gridders host powerful Kidder County

The Wildfire will try to rebound from a narrow 22-20 loss in Wishek a week ago when they host Kidder at 7 p.m. Friday.
The loss to South Border dropped the Mott-Regent/New England squad to 2-2 record in regional play, one game behind Kidder County in the Region 4 standings.
Kidder County will enter the game on a roll after destroying Napoleon/G-S (50-0) and Beach (52-14) over the past two weeks and enter with a 3-1 record.
Linton/HMB hammered the Wolves in the second game of the season by a 34-14 margin.
A week earlier, the Wolves opened their season with an easy 62-0 victory.
Linton/HMB leads the region with a 4-0 record, one-half game ahead of Beach (4-1) and one full game ahead of Grant County/Flasher and Kidder County.
On the scoreboard, the Wolves have outscored all of their opponents by a 178-48 margin, averaging 44.5 points per game in offense, while the defense allowed just 12 points.
In the three wins the Wolves logged, the team allowed just over an average four points per game.
