Missing woman found near Mott

An 87-year old missing South Dakota woman was located on a farm near Mott Thursday morning after being listed as missing since Monday morning.
According to reports, Clara Mae Brown was located south of the Hettinger County seat just after 9 a.m. Thursday morning by a local farmer with her 2012 Chrysler 300 stuck in a field.
Brown had been the subject of a Silver Alert in both South Dakota and North Dakota. According to a statement from the sheriff’s office in Buffalo (S.D.), the woman had run out of gas.
A Silver Alert was issued Wednesday morning to help to locate the missing woman focused the search on the Mott and Hettinger County area.
Authorities issued a reverse 9-1-1 call to Hettinger County residents to announce that the missing woman could be in the area.
She had been seen Monday south of Lemmon in South Dakota.
According to reports with the Hettinger County Emergency Management Office in Mott, there also were sightings Monday near the Hettinger County line.
