Staff Report

There was a lot to celebrate in Mott Saturday, but most of it was indoors, because of weather.
The classic car show moved from Legion Park to the street in front of the Senior Center in town, with the event also moving inside the senior center.
The cornhole competition tournament was also moved inside a building behind the Tilted Tulip.
Some events didn’t have to move, like the Woodworking and Pottery Art Show which was located in the Knights of Columbus Hall, the Pulled Pork Supper and 50/50 drawing in the City Hall facility, the Scarecrow Head making, the kids games (from Bope Park) to the school gymnasium.
But, when it came to the Classics on Wheels Car Show, some of the top winners were a 1967 Camaro, a 1967 Caprice and a 1955 Chevy.
According to organizers, Brooklyn Ternes and Melissa Reisenauer won the overall trophy, while in the pickup division, it was Howard Roth taking first, Sean Hertz placing second and Larry Honeyman getting third.
In the car competition, it was Duwayne Bohle winning (1967 Camaro), followed by Sean Hertz second and, Dave Hickey and Terry Bondy placing third.
Hertz finished with two trophies, one for the Caprice and the second, Hertz said it “it is either the El Camino or the Blazer.”
