The Mott-Regent/New England co-op track team finished fifth in the boys competition and sixth in the girls at Tuesday’s Pankratz meet held on the Dickinson State University track.
In the boys competition, Dickinson won the team title with 164 points, followed by Bowman County (112.5), Mandan (third, 101), Trinity (fourth, 90) and Mott-Regenet/New England (fifth, 74 points). The Hettinger County co-op team finished ahead of Watford City (64), Williston (63), Hazen (33), Richardton-Taylor (12) and Hettinger-Scranton (8).
Cody Perkins placed second in the 110 meter hurdles, losing the victory in the final steps to Williston’s Caleb Doeden.
Logan Wolf placed third in the high jump, dropping from second because of misses.
Jaxon Hewson placed second in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 44.82 seconds, a personal record.
Sam Heuther picked up a third in the discus with a throw of 130 feet four inches, while teammate Gabe Sorenson was fifth with a 121-06 effort. Both were personal bests.
In the girls competition, Dickinson won the team title with 170 points, followed by Mandan (122), Watford City (101)Williston (81), Trinity (78) and Mott-Regent/New England in sixth (64).
Keziah Erickson won the discus with a throw 94-08, a personal record.
Morgan Hertz picked up a win in the 300 meter hurdles with a personal record 47.83 seconds. She also placed fourth in the 100 meter hurdles with a personal best of 17.09 seconds. Hertz also was third in the 200 meters with a personal best of 28.31 seconds.
