When it comes to hurdling, the Mott-Regent/New England track team leads the region.

Cody Perkins of Mott-Regent is on top of the regional list when it comes to the 110 meter hurdles, leading the event with 15.96 effort and more than a second ahead of his nearest competitor.
On the girls side, it is Morgan Hertz on top in both the 100 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles for the co-op Wildfire squad.
Hertz’ top mark in the 100 meter hurdles is 18.00 seconds, just three-hundredths of a second ahead of Bowman’s Abby Smyle, while teammates Jazlynn Ottmar, Hannah Frank and Mary Jane Mayer taking third, fourth and fifth in the top 10 list for the region.
In the longer hurdle race, Hertz has almost a four-second lead over her nearest competition. Hertz’ best is 48.95 seconds, while Bowman’s Esmerelda Madrigal is second (52.35 seconds) and Mayer is number five on the list with a 58.16 effort.
