Tigers ‘host’ battle against Washburn – in Garrison tourney

New England will kick off the 2019 portion of their season Friday on the road.

But they still will be the ‘home’ team when they battle Washburn Friday in a 7 p.m. contest at the McLean County Shootout in Garrison.


The boys basketball team will have to wait two more weeks to host a basketball game in New England.

In the meantime, the Tigers will have a ‘nearly home’ game Jan. 8 when they have to play Trinity at the Knights of Columbus Center in Dickinson at 7 p.m.

Then, it will be a big road trip as the team travels to Bismarck  Jan. 12 to play in a 2:30 p.m. contest against Standing Rock Community High School in the town’s civic center.

The team will host back-to-back-to-back home games against Beulah (Jan. 15), New Salem/Almont (Jan. 19) and Hettinger/Scranton (Jan. 22).

The Beulah game aill start at 5 p.m., while New Salem/Almont is slated to start 2:30 p.m.

Only the game with the Nighthawks will be at 7 p.m.
