Mott lawyer passes bar in Minnesota

MacKenzie Hertz, daughter of Shane and Stacey Hertz, of Mott, North Dakota, recently passed the Minnesota State Bar Examination and became a licensed attorney in the State of Minnesota.

Of the 586 hopefuls who took the exam, less than 75 percent passed.

Hertz is currently clerking at the federal United States District Court for the District of Nebraska in Omaha, Nebraska.

She graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law in May 2018 with High Distinction and was recently inducted into the Order of the Coif, a national scholastic society which recognizes law students who attained high grade of scholarship, and the Order of the Barristers, a national honorary organization which recognizes oral advocacy and brief writing skills.

Prior to attending law school, Hertz graduated magma cum laude from the University of Jamestown.
