Halloween was celebrated at the New England public library on October 13th with a party organized by Kim Kohl. The children decorated mini pumpkins with googly eyes and felt shapes to make jack-o-lanterns. They also glued different colored tissue paper on a pumpkin. Katie Schmidt read the stories “The Littlest Pumpkin”, “Joey the Jack-O-Lantern” and “Who will Haunt my House on Halloween” to the children.
New books at the library are “All we Ever Wanted” by Emily Giffin, “Good Neighbor” by Maxwell King, “Willing Murder” by Jude Deveraux and “Sea Prayer” by Khaled Hosseini.
The new shelves will be installed on October 29th so the library will need to be closed on the 30th so the books can be reshelved in the adult room.
