DSU Homecoming week kicks off Sunday, Oct. 7

DICKINSON, N.D. – Dickinson State University’s (DSU) Homecoming week kicks off Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, and is packed with fun for all ages. Homecoming t-shirts can be purchased in May Hall room 205 for $10 and students may pick one up free of charge with a valid DSU ID.
Sunday, Oct. 7
Chili Cook-Off | 1 p.m. cooking, 5:30 p.m. judging, 6 p.m. tasting | Biesiot Activities Center | Free
Join us for the seventh annual Chili Cook-Off! To participate in the Chili Cook-Off, please register . Cooking will start at 1 p.m. and judging for all participants will happen at 5:30 p.m. There will be a free community tasting at 6 p.m.
Movie Night – Incredibles 2 | 7 p.m. | Biesiot Activities Center Field | Free
Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to the annual Homecoming Family Movie Night! Incredibles 2 will be shown on the big screen.
Monday, Oct. 8
Master Illusionist Elliot Zimet | 7 p.m. | Stickney Auditorium | Free
Master Illusionist Elliot Zimet will perform for Dickinson State University students and the public; the show is free of charge and rated PG-13. Some material, illusions and possible language may be inappropriate for children under the age of 13. Audiences can expect exotic birds, humor, mentalism, and heart-pumping illusions. Zimet appeared as a semi-finalist on America’s Got Talent.

Each academic department has chosen to recognized a DSU alum. The chosen individuals are honored at the banquet and named Alumni Fellows. This banquet will honor individuals on their athletic accomplishments during their collegiate career at Dickinson State University. The Tim Sigl Mustache Dash is a 5K walk/run honoring a former DSU alumnus and DSU employee, Tim Sigl, who was killed in a car accident. Register by calling Alicia Erickson at 483-2557; registration will also be available the day of the race starting at 7:15 a.m.
