The Lady Tigers lost the first set by a 25-15 margin, but came back in the second set, taking the lead after breaking a 9-9 tie.

The hosts rallied to tie again at 21, then score four straight points for the 25-21 win.

The Raiders had a strong evening, picking up 17 service points in the three-set win.

According to coach Kay Moody, the Lady Tigers performed well and get some momentum when they played “clean ball” and passed the ball well.

Richardton-Taylor improved its record to 2-1 with the win. The Raiders were led by 10 kills from Elle Goetz and 21 assists from JaLynn Olson.

The hosts also finished with a total of 17 service points, led by four each from Kat Baranco and Jodi Leingang. Olson and Rene Voigt each added three aces.

After two straight road contests against Grant County (Sept. 18) and Bowman County (Sept. 25), the Lady Tigers will be back home for a battle with one of the region’s best teams, Hettinger/Scranton, at 7 p.m. (Sept. 27).
