This week started out with temperatures in the upper 40s and ended with temperature of 84 degrees on Saturday. Unfortunately, the wind blew hard most of the week.

Parents, coaches, students, and fellow community members of Hettinger and Scranton assembled in the Roberts-Reinke Auditorium on Sunday evening for a banquet held in honor of our local athletes.

Last week, I brought home three orphan lambs to bottle feed, and this week I was expecting the sheep I brought home last month to begin having babies of their own.

One good deed is turning into another at the Mott-Regent Public School, as a grant to enhance the school’s behavioral health services has also led to an inspiring community service project.

The city of Mott has applied for a $15 million grant to construct a community center.

Candidates interested in serving in a local government position have filed to have their names placed on the ballot for school board, and city and county offices.

April 4 - Mass was celebrated in the chapel with Fr. Vetter as our presider on Thursday at 10 a.m. Exercises with Marlys were held in the activity room following Mass.

The Golva School Board convened at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 11th. All board members were present as were bus driver Ed Hammond and teachers Lori Rising and Tammy Nistler.

The Sentinel Butte City Council killed two birds with one stone on April 8th. They met at 7:30 p.m. for the Tax Equalization Meeting and the regular City Council meeting at 8:00 p.m.
