All parent primary phone numbers currently in our district database are registered in this system utilizing our registration information you have provided. However, you must update your profile to receive alerts using other contact devices (such as email or cell phone). Please take a moment to log onto PowerSchool to check or update your contact information. We want to make certain we have the system ready to utilize this winter.
Alert Solutions for PowerSchool is an essential tool for notification and communication. Within minutes of an emergency, school officials can use Alert Solutions to deliver a single, clear message to the students’ parents or guardians by telephone, cell phone, e-mail, pager or PDA in any combination. Alert Solutions can also be used to notify you of a school closing due to inclement weather. It’s an equally effective way to keep you informed of everyday activities, such as event times and locations as well as schedule changes.
* PLEASE NOTE: Alert Solutions will leave a message only if your phone answering system picks up on or before the fifth ring. Alert Solutions will attempt to reach phone number contacts a maximum of five times.
Alert Solutions is Internet based, allowing each family to maintain a secure, password protected online profile. During registration, you should have receives an instruction sheet for accessing the system and creating your profile. You can log into your profile at any time to update your contact information. Maintaining the accuracy of your profile will increase the ability of the school to keep you informed.
Your online profile will enable you to:
• Input your personal contact information
• Select which type of school information you would like to receive on each of your contact devices
• Add contact information of other caretakers of your children, such as a grandparent or neighbor
• View the alerts that have been sent to you in the past
The system is ready for you to use by accessing our website at www.new-england.k12.nd.us and clicking on PowerSchool, or logging on to www.new-england.ps.state.nd.us/public . We encourage all of you to take advantage of this opportunity, as we will be utilizing this system for most of our school-to-home communication.
