New England Public Library

The November story hour was held on Saturday, Nov. 4 at the New England Public Library. Alicia Sonsalla coordinated the mornings fun activities. The children made turkeys by sticking together precut foam pieces, then with Alicia’s help they glued multi colored feathers onto the back. They all enjoyed pumpkin cupcakes while stories were read to them. Alicia read “Five Flying Turkeys” and Taylor Sonsalla read “Thanksgiving is for Giving Thanks” and “Over the River and Through the Woods”. The next story hour will be Dec. 2 at 10 a.m.
The library will once again have a table at the Hometown Holiday Craft Fair on Dec. 3 at Memorial Hall. We will be selling all kinds of  baked goods to raise funds for the library. Anyone who wishes to donate baked goods for the sale can bring them to the fair, please price them for our convenience. This is an easy way to support  your local library.
The book club is meeting again for the winter months. This month’s selection is ”Boots & Saddles” by Elizabeth B. Custer. The group is full but if anyone would be interested in staring another group please contact Donna at the library. We are able to get a box of 10 books through the state library to use for a club, so there is no expense for participants.
