New England Public Library News

The October story hour at the New England Public Library was held on Saturday, the 14th with Chelsie and Hennie Clevenger hosting the morning fun.
Chelsie read the books “Who will Haunt my House on Halloween?”, “Pumpkin Head,” and “The 13 Nights of Halloween.” Hennie helped the children decorate pumpkin and monster cookies with orange and green frosting and lots of colored and shaped different sprinkles. They all enjoyed eating the treats after they were done decorating.
The summer reading program was well attended with around 70 children participating. The picnic to finish the event was a success thanks to McDonalds of Dickinson. They provided the burgers and door prizes for the evening meal.
It was the 20th year for the Indian Taco supper at the Wheat Harvest . This has been the major fundraiser for the library for the last 10 years. A big thank you to all who support the event and all the helpers that night.
New titles at the library are “The 9th Hour.” “It Girls,” “Merry and Bright,” and “Stolen Marriage.”
