North Dakota Community Foundation scholarships

The North Dakota Community Foundation (NDCF) will award over $600,000 in scholarships to over 375 North Dakota students in 2017.

Nineteen recipients came from Hettinger and Slope counties. Those awarded scholarship funds were Levi Stegner (Amidon) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund, Joan Multhaup Scholarship fund; Sa-brina Kienzle (Mott) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund, Michael D. Wehri Memorial; Brady Wegh (Mott) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund; David Steinke (Mott) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund; Eleanore Messmer (Mott) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund; Kathryn Herring (Mott) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund; Levi Keator (Mott) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund; Maddison Johnson (Mott) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund; MaLynn Kautzman (Mott) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund; Megan Belile (Mott) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund; Michael Mayer (Mott) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund; Samantha Condon (Mott) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund, Richard & Christina Fiedler Memorial; Sean Hertz (Mott) – Michael D. Wehri Memorial; Adrienne Roller (New England) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund; Destiny Urlacher (New England) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund; Emily Ehlis (New England) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund; Kasandria Lara (New England) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund; Zoe Jung (New England) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund; Zachary Kirscheman (Regent) – Ismael & Rose Diede fund.

The organization currently manages over 120 scholarship funds supported by North Dakotans, former residents and those interested in helping North Dakota students succeed.

“We are pleased to be able to help so many students further their education.” said Kevin Dvo-rak, President and CEO of NDCF.  “The donors that created these scholarship funds believed in investing in our future and we are honored to be able to carry out their wishes.”

The following list provides the name of each scholarship recipient, their hometown, the school they will be attending (if known), and the scholarship fund or funds at NDCF from which the money was granted.  In most cases, a local advisory committee recommends the grant recipi-ent.
