Consolidated announces Mott-Regent School groundbreaking ceremony

Consolidated Construction Co. Inc., has scheduled a groundbreaking ceremony for an addition and renovations to the Mott-Regent Public School.

Consolidated Construction Co. Inc., has scheduled a groundbreaking ceremony for an addition and renovations to the Mott-Regent Public School.

On Friday, Aug. 19, at 6 p.m.Consolidated Construction Co., Inc., and the Mott-Regent School Board will host the groundbreaking ceremony for the nearly $8.7 million project that includes a new two-story elementary school to replace the 107-year-old current building and upgrades to the existing high school. The new elementary school includes shared spaces with the existing high school, including a new cafeteria, kitchen, common area, and library. The old elementary school will be demolished when the new construction is complete. Upgrades at the existing high school include a new ITV room and a renovated special education room. The new campus will also have centralized administration offices and a centralized mechanical room.

The project is expected to be completed by August 2017.
