Five students from New England and Mott/Regent schools were winners in a recent drawing contest.
North Dakota Farm Bureau 2016 was celebrated in March with a state-wide drawing contest. Students in fourth and fifth grades were asked to draw “Agriculture-related Jobs”.
Hettinger County held a contest of all the entrants in the county in recognition of National Agriculture Week in March. County winners were Molly Wolf with first place, Hannah Frank with second
place, Cadence Madler with third place, and Braden Cronin with honorable mention. All are students in the fifth grade in New England. Jazlyn Ottmar is in the fourth grade in Mott and also received Honorable Mention. The three winners received a check while those with Honorable Mention received a gift. All received a personalized certificate and a copy of their drawing.
All entries from the classes were submitted to the North Dakota Farm Bureau office for judging. Winners on the state level were Kelsey Wingenbach of Surrey in the fourth grade and Emma Osier from Gwinner in the fifth grade. Each one received $50 and their drawings are featured on the NDFB website at www.ndfb.org, on NDFB social media and more.
