On March 12, Mott North Dakota Assembly of God will play host to a district youth rally. The District Youth Director of North Dakota, Twyla Kuntz, will be in attendance as the keynote speaker of the night.
The goal of this event is dual purposed, as the students of the region will be brought together to fellowship with other believers within their areas, letting them know they are not alone, as well as promoting the impact their giving will have toward witness of Jesus Christ. Students from our sparsely populated, yet vastly spread district; Elgin, Hebron, Mott, Hettinger, Glen Ullin, Bowman and Dickinson are those areas that will be participating.
This is a momentous occasion, as a gathering of this magnitude has never been undertaken in the hope of reaching out to the western half of North Dakota’s Youth.
The rally itself will be dedicated to the promotion of Speed the Light, which is an organization providing Assembly of God missionaries abroad with needed assets to assist in their witnessing. Such assets include: A vehicle (some missionaries have to travel miles just to reach the areas they have dedicated their services to), Bibles (some peoples are so remote that they have never been brought the word of God that is so easily accessible to Americans, if we so choose to read it). Many other items are also needed to help the missionaries complete their tasks and these items are also funded through Speed the Light donations.
