Jacob Wolf was the winner of the North Dakota Newspaper Association’s ‘It’s Alive’ local prize. Wolf took home a 9-inch Haier tablet.

Wolf is a resident of Hettinger County and his family subscribes to The Herald.

The North Dakota Newspaper Association sponsored a contest in hopes of elevating the awareness of local print media and to drive up subscription numbers.

Local residents and subscribers were asked to drop off, or mail ballots with their information, in hopes of winning the tablet, but the names were then sent to the NDNA offices for a chance at the grand prize, a trip to Washington D.C.

Grafton resident Carolyn Hughes won an all expense paid trip to the nation’s capital. Hughes registered for the contest at the Walsh County Record.
