The New England Booster Club has been selling tickets for a New England Tiger themed quilt since the start of the volley ball season. That raffle is coming to an end Friday, Feb. 13 when the winner is drawn.
A project that took months to complete features 35 different New England athletic t-shirts stitched together to make an 85” by 105” quilt.
After booster club and community members gathered the necessary t-shirts for the project, New England resident Susan Peterson got to work. She created the top layer of the blanket and got it ready for the machines.
It was then sent down to Buffalo Creek Quilting in Hettinger to get the finishing touches put on it.
Tickets for the quilt were being sold at home athletic games and around the community at a cost of $5.
After months of work, the queen-sized quilt will have a new home after the winner’s name is read off on Feb. 13. Tickets are still available and can be purchased from a booster club member, or locations around the community.
