Dakota West Credit Union (DWCU) recently welcomed a new employee to their New England branch.

Heather Zimmermann was hired on as an Agriculture and Consumer Loan Officer.

Zimmermann was born and raised on a farm just south of Hettinger and graduated from Hettinger High School.

She continued her education at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln graduating with a degree in Business Administration.

Two things lead her to pursue a career in finance and lending:  her affinity for math and community engagement.

“I’ve always liked numbers and people, so it brings the two together,” Zimmermann said.

For the past 10 years Heather has worked in residential mortgage lending and is ready to add Ag and Consumer lending to her resume.  Having been a member with DWCU for a few years, she knows what a great organization it is, and when the opportunity arose to become a part of it, she took it.

“I am really excited to grow Dakota West’s business in agriculture in the community, as well as consumer loans.  In the process, I’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with more members of the communities for which I serve.”

An open house at the New England branch is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with refreshments.
