Bank President Stan Koppinger presented the check in the amount of $25,000 to Secretary/Treasurer of the Rural Fire Department Stuart Nielsen. Others present at the donation were branch Loan Officer Stacy Miller, Chief Credit Officer and New England Mayor Marty Opdahl, and Dennis Rustan who serves on the board of the bank as well as the Rural Fire Department.
Nielsen referred to the check as “an awesome donation,” and was very appreciative. He also said that with the money, the project is getting closer to being fully funded. Nielsen also said he was hoping for one final drive for more funding. With the history that American Bank Center has established in New England, Koppinger wanted to help out with the effort.
He said this donation was “a commitment to the community.” The donated money will not be allocated to anything specific and will just go towards the total cost of the project.
