Hettinger County Superintendent of Schools

A group of 16 mathletes from Hettinger County schools met on February 7th, at the Hettinger County Court House to compete in the Hettinger County MATHCOUNTS Competition.

The winners were first place, Brayden Rayhorn, son of Rob and Amy Rayhorn of New England, second place, Trent Youngstrand, son of Jason and Keri Youngstrand of Amidon, and Hailee Kuske, daughter of Doug and LaDonna Kuske of New England won honorable mention. The first place team was from New England Public School. Team members included Devin Wert, Hailee Kuske, Braden Rayhorn and Eve Stegner.

Thank you to the coaches Mrs. Shannay Witte of New England and Michelle Koepplin of Mott-Regent. Their dedication and support for the MATHCOUNTS Program is appreciated at the school level. e would also like to thank Hettinger County Commissioners for sponsoring prizes and registration fees for the annual event.

Winners of the Hettinger County Competition first must compete with Region 10 (Southwest Schools) scores. Then they may forward onto the State Competition, which will be held on March 17th, in Bismarck at the Ramkota Hotel.
