The Highway 21 Treasure Hunt will be held Friday and Saturday, June 20-21, this year. The annual event is held each June, as communities along Highway 21 hold citywide rummage sales. Participating communities include Flasher, Carson, Elgin, New Leipzig, Mott, Regent and New England. The Highway 21 Treasure Hunt will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m MT both days.

Now is a good time to start planning your sale and gathering items, according to coordinator Luann Dart. “Finding a location to hold your sale and marking your items now will relieve the stress of doing those preparations this summer,” Dart said.

The event draws hundreds of visitors into the area each summer and has received national attention. “The area is already receiving telephone calls from folks planning vacation time so they can attend this year’s event,” Dart said.

“We hope to have some great rummage sales to continue to attract visitors,” Dart said. The Highway 21 Treasure Hunt is a North Dakota Legendary Event.
