A representative of the resident council shared words of appreciation and presented him with a gift following the service. Missouri Slope’s Chaplain, Pastor Rebecca Aardahl shared a story told by resident Laura Grundhauser remembering Father Ed as a young boy in his hometown of New England. He and his twin brother, as twins often do, shared their own private language and Ed’s brother was particularly challenged by the sound of “r”. The family decided that the twins would spend time separately with family members and better their communication skills. The Missouri Slope family has been blessed that the young Ed Wehner blossomed into Father Ed. His assistant Kathy Lewis, who ends her service to MSLCC, was presented with a gift and best wishes as well.
