Betty Kouba, age 80 of Mott, N.D. passed away suddenly Sunday morning, Feb. 10, 2013 at her home in Mott.Betty KoubaPosted Feb. 14, 2013

The HeraldA Service of Remembrance for Betty was held Feb. 14, 2013 at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Mott. Cremation has taken place and the cremains will be buried beside her husband Stanley at Sunnyslope Cemetery in Mott.
Betty A. Sieler was born Nov. 19, 1932 to Adam and Frederika (Huber) Sieler, in Lemmon S.D. She attended Hay Hill #1 School from first to the eighth grade. She was married to Stanley P. Kouba on June 27th, 1955 at Lemmon. They lived there until February of 1956 when they moved to Mott. Betty worked at Red Owl and Smith Drug in Lemmon and after moving to Mott worked at restaurants and lounges in a variety of positions and in the surrounding area. Betty enjoyed fishing, dancing, bingo and casinos. Betty also very much enjoyed her two great grandchildren Joseph Lien and Eden Zaste.
Surviving family members include her special friend of many years, Elmer Staudinger, Mott, N.D; her daughter and son-in-law, Rachelle and Randy Lien, Lincoln, N.D.; two grandchildren, Jeremiah (Erica) Lien and Desirae (Sheldon) Zaste, two great grandchildren, Joseph Lien and Eden Zaste; and one sister, Vivian Salzsieder, Lemmon, S.D. and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley; sisters, Helen (Charlie) Johnson, Martha (Glenn) Edwards, Leoda (Alfred) Anderson; brothers, Herbert (Leona) Sieler, Gilbert Sieler and one who died in infancy; four great grandchildren, twins, Shane & Skye, Logan and Jayden Zaste all died in infancy.
