Leota Lien, 92, of Hettinger, ND passed away at the West River Regional Medical Center in Hettinger on Friday, November 30, 2012.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 10, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hettinger Lutheran Church in Hettinger. Rev. Kathleen Dettmann will officiate and burial will follow at the Hettinger Cemetery. Visitations will be from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the Centennial Chapel of Evanson Jensen Funeral Homes in Hettinger, north of the High School and one hour prior to the service at the Church on Monday morning.
Leota is survived by her children, Winona Olson, New England, N.D., Linda (James) Stippich, Hettinger, N.D., Dixie (Larry) Lehman, Salt Lake City, Utah, Wesley (Kathryn) Lien, New River, Ariz., Carol (Fred) White, Ravensdale, Wash., Peggy (Calvin) Klewin, Bowman, N.D., Kenneth Lien, North Island, Calif. and Wallace (Sandra) Lien, Redfield, S.D.; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; one great- great-granddaughter and sisters-in-law, Ann Wieland and Dorothy Lien.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna Wieland; husband, Oscar Lien; brothers, Leonard, Ernest and Ed Wieland; sisters, Frances Thompson, Dorothy Mae Strand, Caroline Ehleringer, Donelda Oberlander; son-in-law, Charles Olson; great-grandson, Brandon Anderson and great-granddaughter-in-law, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Thalia (Ramirez) Balbeck.
