Bernard Kirschmann, 91, Bismarck, N.D. crossed over after a brief stay at Elm Crest Manor in New Salem.
A memorial service was held Oct. 6, 2012, at Parkway Funeral Service Chapel, Bismarck. He was buried the next day at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, outside of Regent.
Bernard was born May 19, 1921 to the late Jacob Kirschmann and Margarethe (Kaseman) Kirschmann. He married Anita Keller Feb. 11, 1948 at Bethel Baptist Church of Missoula, Mont.. They lived in Regent and Mott and farmed land west of Regent.
Bernard is survived by his wife, Anita, Bismarck, N.D.; and three children, Cheryl (Gary) Pickrell, Tuscon, Ariz.: Wanda (Bruce) Wiebe, Lakeville, Minn. and Les (Connie) Kirschmann, Regent, N.D.; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; brother, Fred C.; and nine half-brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Chris, John D., and Jake; his sister, Pauline; as well as grandson, Christopher; and four half-sisters and brothers.
Memorials may be given to St. Alexius Hospice at Elm Crest Manor, New Salem Jo Hoger, social worker designee.
Parkway Eastgate Funeral Home, Bismarck, N.D. was in charge of arrangements.
